After a beautiful week, here comes the rain…and some of you might even see some wet snowflakes flying around before the weekend comes to an end.
It’s all quiet on the homefront this morning across North Texas, with some high clouds and tolerable temperatures for this time of the year. Reading’s have fallen into the mid-40s to low 50s. Clouds will thicken up through the day today and some of you might even see a shower or storm late this afternoon into the evening, especially east of Dallas. Most of us stay dry though. Afternoon highs will kiss the 70° mark again today.
Cloud ceilings will rapidly lower overnight and rain will move in shortly after daybreak tomorrow. Low temperatures will be in the low 60s but quickly fall into the 50s as the rain moves in through the morning, ending from west to east by early afternoon. Afternoon highs will be around 60°.
The main system heads in our direction on Sunday. Widespread showers and isolated storms will move in from the west during the first half of the day. Temperatures will fall back into the ’50s in the rainy areas. You might even hear a clap of thunder or two. A strong cold front will move through the area later in the day. Wind will shift north and gust to 30 mph as colder air rushes in.
