The City of Lewisville runs grant programs to support social services for low-to-moderate income residents. One of these is the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, funded by the federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department. The CDBG program aims to provide decent housing, improve living conditions, and boost economic opportunities for Lewisville’s less affluent residents. The city uses CDBG funds from HUD and its General Funds to buy services from nonprofits serving Lewisville residents.

The city has opened the 2024-2025 Social Service Funds Grant application from February 12, 2024. This application is for 501(c)(3) nonprofits or government entities running social service programs for Lewisville’s low-to-moderate income residents. More details about the grant are in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and the Request for Proposal (RFP) Timeline.

Applicants must watch a Pre-Application Workshop video and complete an eligibility screener and training quiz. This ensures they have the necessary training. The application link will be provided after completing the training and quiz. This replaces the previous in-person pre-application training.
