Chance Stovall, 17, a junior at Wylie East High School described as “full of joy” and “athletic,” tragically succumbed to fentanyl poisoning just ten days ago, leaving behind a void that his family struggles to reconcile.

Robbie Stovall, Chance’s father, eloquently conveyed the enduring presence of his son, emphasizing that memories of Chance continue to permeate every aspect of their lives. The alarming potency of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid approximately 50 times stronger than heroin, has been a focal point of efforts by law enforcement agencies and public health authorities to raise awareness of its lethal nature.
