Good morning everyone. Pleasant weather and widespread temperatures in the 70’s continue until Saturday; when our next cold front will reinforce the cooler and drier air. Afternoon and evening showers and storms are expected throughout the Northeast on Saturday, then we go cool to mild on Sunday depending on your location. Warmer conditions in the 80’s return midweek next week, but nothing outrageous.

Our only other feature for the Northeast is low pressure between Cape Hatteras and Bermuda which may or may not develop into a tropical depression. It is expected to stay far enough offshore not to impact us with wind or rain, but we could see rough surf and sea conditions over the next few days.

We remain focused on the heavy showers and thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast stretched across a wide area from Texas, to Louisiana, and into Florida. The most concentrated area of precipitation remains along coastal areas of Texas and Louisiana, but Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle could get into that heavier action as time goes on.
