Fatal Crash Claims Three Lives in Denton County

Three people died and three others were injured in a major crash in Denton County on Friday, August 23.

“At least two individuals had CPR performed on them, and a total of six individuals were transported by five ambulances to Medical City and to Presbyterian in Denton,” said Argyle Police Chief Emmitt Jackson.

Three of the six people transported were confirmed as fatalities. The three individuals who tragically passed away have been officially named by the Denton County Medical Examiner’s Office. They have been identified as Elia Orozco, aged 65, Odilla Orozco, aged 69, and Gladis Orozco, aged 63.

Detectives are currently in the process of determining the root cause of the crash; however, they have confirmed that there is no proof to suggest that alcohol played a role in the incident.

The northbound lanes of I-35W were closed for hours.
