LUBBOCK, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The University of North Texas is traveling west to face off against the 1-1 Texas Tech, hoping to beat the Red Raiders for the third time since 1997.
While North Texas knows they’re entering a hostile environment following Texas Tech’s loss last week against Washington State, head coach Eric Morris is a friendly face to West Texas. Morris, a Shallowater native, served as the Red Raiders’ offensive coordinator during Patrick Mahomes’ college career.

Meanwhile, Red Raider Head Coach Joey McGuire hopes to clean things up on defense. The game kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday.
