After almost three decades leading Stonebriar Community Church, Chuck Swindoll has announced his retirement. In a recent service, the Texas pastor, who planted the Frisco megachurch in 1998, shared with his congregation that his final sermon will be delivered on October 20. “God has made it clear to me that these five Sundays will be my final five Sundays as your pastor – your leader, your pulpit expositor,” Swindoll was quoted in the Houston Chronicle.
