Blockbuster Trade Pitch Nets Cowboys 6-Time Pro Bowl WR to Aid Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys offense has had issues finding explosive plays through the first month of the season, and with major defensive stars now hurt the franchise has serious cause to make a big move ahead of the NFL’s November 5 trade deadline.

Enter star wide receiver Davante Adams , who told the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday, October 1, that he prefers to be traded rather than play out the remainder of the year with the team, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network .

The Raiders appear willing to oblige, as they made public a willingness to discuss deals for Adams that include a second-round draft pick and at least one other asset, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN .

Bill Barnwell of ESPN authored a piece on Tuesday that dove headfirst into the handful of teams he says should make a move for Adams. Among those squads are the Cowboys.

“After signing Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to massive extensions, team owner Jerry Jones has been forced to cry poverty as a justification for not signing Derrick Henry ,” Barnwell wrote . “Dallas has started 2-2, but having just lost Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence with injuries, this doesn’t feel like a team heading in the right direction.”
