Handed over by U.S. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, the funds are earmarked for upgrades that promise to rejuvenate the center, ensuring it remains an anchor for the South Dallas and Fair Park neighborhoods. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam Bazaldua, representing District 7, couldn’t hide his appreciation for the financial boost. According to the City of Dallas, he said, “This funding is more than an investment in a building, it’s an investment in the future of South Dallas.”
