September in East Texas started with a strong dose of fall weather, followed by a return to summer heat. This was followed by a few more weeks of summer weather. But then, October arrived, and the autumn temps we had been waiting for…still didn’t come. Instead, the first days of October brought highs in the 90s. We did get a bit of a cool down over the past few days, but this weekend will bring high temperatures that will get close to breaking records.
