Cowboys Star DB Vows to Be ‘Disrespectful’ to Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 6

In a Cowboys season that has, thus far, appeared to be held together mostly by bubble gum and chicken wire, cornerback Jourdan Lewis has grabbed attention for his stabilizing performance on the back end of the defense.

With Daron Bland out because of injury and Stephon Gilmore let go in free agency, the Cowboys needed a return to form from Lewis, who suffered a career-threatening foot injury in 2022 and was never really himself last year.

Lewis has responded, allowing a passer rating of 70.9 on balls thrown his way, his best rating since his rookie year. Lewis allowed QBs a 93.9 rating last year.

But what’s especially encouraging about Lewis is that he has his swagger back. Lewis has always been a good smack-talker, but it helps that he is especially effective at backing it up this year.

That figures to be a prominent feature this week for the Cowboys as they face the Detroit Lions and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who complained about Lewis on his podcast this offseason , saying, “He was talking crazy out of pocket.”
