Flower Mound HS band is off to march at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

There’ll be a lot of empty chairs around dinner tables in Flower Mound this Thanksgiving but with good reason.

The nearly four hundred members of the Flower Mound High School marching band will be in New York City marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

On the Mid Morning Mike Check KRLD’s Mike Rogers and Austin York talked to the director of the mighty Jaguar Marching Band Brent Biskup.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade will feature 17 giant balloons, 22 floats, 15 inflatables, 11 marching bands including Flower Mound, 700 clowns and 10 performance groups.

The celebrities on tap to appear include actor-singer Jennifer Hudson, Kylie Minogue and Broadway star Billy Porter. It all starts at 8:30 Thursday morning
