The Carrollton Police Department is on the hunt for an individual responsible for a series of hoax emergency calls that spurred law enforcement to force entry into multiple apartments. According to police, the initial false report was made around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, claiming a man had shot his mother and was threatening to also shoot himself. The urgency driven operation continued as officers broadened their search beyond the reported address to adjacent units on Bledsoe Street. This move drastically escalated when they were unable to make contact with occupants of Apartment D-5, leading to forced entry only to find the residents unharmed but understandably perplexed by the dramatic intrusion.
