The Most Recognizable Texas Gas Station Now Closing 1,000 Locations

Texas is tied for second with New York for the most Fortune 500 Companies with 52 headquartered in the Lone Star State, and on just about any given day we are hearing plans of another company or two sniffing the air to make the move here.

Last year we learned that the gas station with more locations in Texas was not 7-Eleven, but Shell, and even though the company is headquartered in London, their North American operations are based in Houston.

Valero, Shell, And Mobil Have The Most Texas Gas Stations

Valero by far has the most total fueling stations in Texas with over 2,000, but Shell stands in a healthy third place with around 1,700. However, Shell believes the demand for fuel is going to begin a steady decline, and that means they want to transition to better serve the needs of auto owners in the future.
