Man pleads guilty to tampering with evidence after missing woman’s body found in North Texas home

MCKINNEY, Texas — A McKinney man arrested late last year after the body of a woman was found decomposed in his refrigerator has pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, officials said.

As a result of the conviction, the man, 43-year-old Christopher Stevens, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

McKinney police said they arrested Stevens after they executed a search warrant of his home in the 600 block of Pearson Avenue, where they found the body of Heather Louise Schwab. Stevens was arrested on a charge of tampering with evidence…
