Omar Kamil Arrested for Methamphetamine Possession in Hopkins County
HOPKINS COUNTY, TX – On February 13, 2025, at approximately 9:55 PM, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a white Mazda CX9 along IH30 Frontage Road in Hopkins County. The driver, identified as Omar Kamil, 45 , of Richardson, Texas, was found in possession of methamphetamine.
According to the arrest affidavit, Kamil was stopped for a missing front license plate. During the stop, officers observed a yellow bag in the passenger seat that, upon probable cause search, contained methamphetamine and a meth pipe.
