PROSPER, Texas — Prosper police arrested two individuals after a theft incident at a local retailer on January 26, 2025. The suspects were linked to multiple thefts in the area, according to a press release from the Prosper Police Department.
A Prosper police officer, while on foot patrol, was alerted by a loss prevention officer about a suspect involved in multiple thefts at other store locations. The officer monitored the suspect via security cameras and identified the vehicle they arrived in, as well as a possible accomplice. Additional officers set up around the business, and the suspect was detained after leaving the store with over $1,000 worth of merchandise.
The officers recovered the stolen property and found additional stolen items from another retailer in the suspect’s vehicle. The accomplice, who attempted to ignore officers and walk away, was found with a small amount of methamphetamine.
