North Texas drug traffickers sentenced for distributing counterfeit fentanyl pills

CELINA, Texas — Two North Texas residents have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in distributing counterfeit fentanyl-laced pills, following an investigation by the Celina Police Department and partnering agencies.Courtney Green, a 28-year-old from Denton, Texas, pleaded guilty on February 4, 2025, in the United States Eastern District Court in Sherman and was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison. Tiffane Volz, a 38-year-old also from Denton, pleaded guilty on February 18, 2025, in the same court and received a 19.5-year federal sentence.
