A Texas mom with a “beautiful smile” was tragically killed by “stray bullets” in her own backyard at a family gathering, according to police.
Officers were called to the 3900 block of Frisco Avenue, Forest Hill, around 7.15 pm Saturday, where they discovered Marie Marisela Trujillo-Camarillo and her brother injured in the backyard of their home. Family members reported that Trujillo-Camarillo, 36, was near the fire pit when a stray bullet pierced through the fence and hit the siblings.
“I just can’t accept, that the way she had to leave, it’s not fair,” said Jessica Casas, Trujillo’s niece. “She was just there talking to her brother having a nice conversation, when it was sudden that she was hit ,” reports NBCDFW.
Despite the immediate life-saving efforts initiated by officers, with assistance from the Forest Hill Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance crew, Trujillo-Camarillo did not survive.
