The doughnuts are rolling in to McKinney with the opening of Shipley Do-Nuts, the Houston-based chain known for its doughnuts and kolaches, coming to 3801 Virginia Pkwy., in the Shoppes at Virginia on Saturday, March 1.
Shipley was founded in Houston in 1936, and currently has more than 370 company-owned and franchised restaurants across 13 states. Since 2021, they’ve been on a bit of a growing spurt that included a new location in North Dallas in 2021.
They offers more than 60 doughnut varieties, including their signature plain glazed, cut in the iconic Shipley hexagon shape with a lighter, fluffier texture; plus filled, iced, and cake donuts, bear claws, and coffee.
