Gunter accident leads to complex vehicle extrication

GUNTER, Texas — A major accident on FM121 west of Gunter this morning required a complex vehicle extrication, according to Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue. The incident involved a vehicle slowing for road debris and another vehicle, blinded by the sun, failing to slow down, causing it to climb a trailer.The truck was unstable with a passenger still inside, prompting the use of straps for quick stabilization until rescue struts could be positioned.
