Plans move forward on $115M electronics factory in Plano

A Taiwan-based electronics company is moving forward with big expansion plans for North Texas. Delta Electronics Inc. filed plans for a $115 million factory and offices in Plano on Tuesday, April 1.

The plans include a three-story manufacturing facility and a four-story office building that will be 630,000 square feet total, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction is expected to start in June and the company said in previous statements they expect construction to be completed by 2028.

The company is a global supplier of passive and magnetic components used in portable devices, cloud computing equipment, automotive, IoT, and other markets, according to the Delta Electronics website .
