Suspect crashed stolen truck and trailer twice in Richardson, then ran away, police say

RICHARDSON, Texas — A suspect driving a stolen truck and trailer got into two hit-and-run crashes in Richardson before fleeing into a neighborhood, police said.

Officers found the suspect and arrested him, according to a police news release. His name has not been released.

Police said the incident started around 5:50 p.m. Thursday when officers were called to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Coit and Campbell Roads, near the Richardson-Dallas line. One of the vehicles involved in the crash — a pickup truck towing a trailer — left the scene, police learned. Officers were then alerted to a second crash involving the same truck and trailer, this time at Campbell and Custer Parkway, a few miles east of the initial crash…
