ECTOR COUNTY — A 28-year-old male is dead following a fatal collision.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Luther Bernard Young Jr. of Flower Mound was pronounced dead at the scene, which occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 12, at State Highway 302 and Farm-to-Market Road 866.
The preliminary information from the DPS report revealed that a 2019 Freightliner SD 122 with trailer was traveling northbound on FM 866 and was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with SH 302. The second vehicle, a 2018 International HX620 with trailer, was traveling eastbound on SH 302 when the Freightliner failed to yield the right of way and entered the intersection in front of the 2018 International, resulting in a collision…
