A 31-year-old man, Waldemar Ramos-Negron, has been sentenced to prison following a series of violent offenses in Irving and multiple convictions related to assault and resisting law enforcement.
Ramos-Negron was arrested by Irving Police on March 7, 2025, after officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home at the 1000 block of Elwood Rd near the N. Nursery Rd intersection. Investigators determined he had assaulted his girlfriend, Estevana Martinez, and threatened her with a knife. He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. As part of a plea deal, he pleaded guilty to the charge on May 1 and was sentenced to 30 days in the Dallas County Jail with no fine.
