Tragedy struck in Frisco as a 7-year-old child was found unresponsive after a reported drowning in a local pond. The emergency was first received last Saturday, prompting a rapid response from both the Frisco Police and Fire departments. Despite the efforts made by emergency personnel, the child was pronounced deceased shortly after being transported to Children’s Hospital in Plano, the City of Frisco announced.
The incident unfolded on Preston Road, where officers and divers conducted a meticulous search, additional resources joining from neighboring services, Texas DPS air support, Lewisville FD, and Allen PD K9. Around 9:19 p.m., the divers recovered the young child from the water; from there, the child was rushed to the hospital, and by 9:50 p.m., the heartbreaking update came through that they had not survived…
