Denton welcomed home American Idol finalist Breanna Nix with a homecoming parade, a free concert, and a key to the city. Several local businesses also offered limited-time food and drink specials inspired by her — including a special ice cream flavor at Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream, where she also did a meet-and-greet with fans.
Breanna represented Denton with pride and finished third in the voting on the season finale.
