Allen City Council unanimously approved a $60.7 million contract June 24 for the vertical construction phase of the new police headquarters, bringing the total project cost to $97 million.
Engineering Director Chris Flanigan presented the second guaranteed maximum price to the council for CORE Construction Inc. to complete the building’s construction. The city previously approved $23.9 million in February for foundational work, architectural design fees and other costs.
