On June 30, 2025, a Collin County jury found 27-year-old Noah Gregory Honesty guilty of murder for his role in a fatal fentanyl overdose in November 2023. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed that Honesty sold counterfeit M-30 pills laced with fentanyl to the victim.
Following the conviction, Honesty was sentenced to 38 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The case was thoroughly investigated by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by the Collin County District Attorney’s Office.
Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner stated, “Let me be clear: if you’re selling this lethal fentanyl in Collin County and someone dies because of it, you’re going to prison for murder. Period—this is about protecting our families and our communities from killers who distribute this poison. I’m proud of the work done by my investigators and the District Attorney in this case. This verdict proves we will hunt you down and hold you accountable.”…
