Texas man accused of killing wife after police find her body in closet during a welfare check

A McKinney, Texas, man is facing murder charges after police went to his house to perform a welfare check and found his wife dead in a closet.

McKinney Police Department officers went to the home of Eslam Mohamed, 42, at around 6 p.m. local time Friday after overseas relatives asked them to perform a welfare check; they were worried he had suffered a medical emergency.

McKinney Fire Department personnel got to the house first, forcibly entered and found Mr. Mohamed sitting on a couch with minor injuries and blood on his hands, the police said in a release Saturday…
