Reversal of Texas Dreamers Act may bring higher tuition for students at UNT at Frisco

Students at the University of North Texas, including the UNT at Frisco campus, could see higher tuition if they cannot confirm Texas residency.

University officials told Dream Act students that in-state tuition will end on Friday, Aug. 8, if they cannot confirm in-state residency, according to a report from KERA.

This ruling comes after the Department of Justice ruled in June to reverse the Texas Dream Act, stating Texas public universities can no longer grant in-state tuition to Texas residents who don’t have legal status.
