GARLAND, Texas — Three suspects are in custody after an attempted vehicle theft and armed confrontation in Sachse sparked an hours-long manhunt in Garland Friday afternoon.
Sachse police said officers were called around 1:17 p.m. to the 3400 block of Blossom Drive, where a man reported confronting several individuals attempting to steal his vehicle. One suspect displayed a firearm before the group took off. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
While officers responded, police received another call about a crash along State Highway 78 and Murphy Road. The people inside the vehicle involved ran from the scene toward Garland. Investigators determined the vehicle matched the license plate of the one used in the attempted robbery and had previously been reported stolen out of Lewisville…
