North Texas ‘Blues Man’ who said ‘we can get rich’ off fentanyl gets sentenced in teen’s overdose death

DALLAS — Tecose Dchaz Martin saw a news story from Colorado, prosecutors said, and saw money: “We can get rich off blues,” he told an associate.

The “blues” he was referencing were fentanyl pills, and Martin, who would become known as “Blues Man,” began buying the drugs by the thousand, prosecutors said.

One of those pills, according to authorities, ultimately led to the overdose death of a 17-year-old boy…
