OU drops to No. 6 in latest AP Poll; Texas drops out of top 25

OU fell to No. 6 in the latest AP Poll, despite its 44-0 win over Kent State on Saturday.

The Sooners were No. 5 last week after beating Auburn at home. Texas A&M jumped them in the polls this week, though, after the Aggies’ impressive win over Mississippi State. The bigger news in the AP Poll is that Texas dropped out of the top 25 after its loss to Florida.

The Longhorns were the preseason No. 1 team in the country and were ranked No. 9 before losing to the Gators. Oklahoma and Texas will face each other this week in the Cotton Bowl. According to FanDuel, the Longhorns are a 3.5-point favorite despite not being ranked…
