Trick Rider Adds A Western Spin To Afternoon Tea

Step into Trick Rider, the signature steakhouse at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, and you’ll be greeted by pistols, spurs and a menu that’s about 95% meat. It’s a shrine to the Texas steakhouse tradition, and it doesn’t apologize for it. But now, the restaurant is leaning into something unexpected: afternoon tea.

Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Trick Rider transforms into a spot where Southern charm meets Western flair, offering a Texas-style afternoon tea service with a refined yet playful twist.

A Curated Tea Experience

The star of the experience is Zakti’s curated selection of teas. Guests can sip on premium blends such as white down silver needle, pearl jasmine, keemun hao-ya english breakfast and organic peppermint. Each cup is paired with an array of sweet and savory bites, carefully chosen to complement the flavors.

The menu mixes tradition with Texas inspiration:

  • Texas honey cake and pistachio macarons
  • Blueberry lavender scones with clotted cream and seasonal jam
  • Smoked salmon with dill and ham and cheese puff pastries
  • Egg salad sandwiches and lemon-yuzu madeleines

For those looking to elevate their afternoon, the experience doesn’t have to stop at tea — guests can add champagne or sip on one of Trick Rider’s signature cocktails to make the occasion feel even more indulgent.
