DENTON, Texas — A former Denton police officer and two current officers were indicted Thursday on charges including official oppression and tampering with a governmental record after a months-long investigation, officials say.
The indictments come after the Denton County District Attorney’s Office determined that a probable cause affidavit written by officer William Hulslander didn’t align with body-worn camera video evidence that allegedly showed officer Ronald Foy misusing his department-issued chemical spray, according to the Denton Police Department.
Following the discovery, Foy and Hulslander were placed on administrative leave, according to the department. The Denton County District Attorney’s Office also dismissed charges against a person experiencing homelessness who was arrested in March of 2024, officials say…
