DENTON, Texas — A Denton County Grand Jury has indicted one former and two current City of Denton police officers after a monthslong investigation into alleged criminal conduct.
The indictments follow concerns raised by the Denton County District Attorney’s Office regarding discrepancies in arrest procedures and evidence handling.
In February, the Denton County District Attorney’s Office informed the Denton Police Department of the dismissal of pending criminal charges against an individual experiencing homelessness, arrested in March 2024. The dismissal was due to inconsistencies between the probable cause affidavit by Officer William Hulslander and body-worn camera footage, which showed Officer Ronald Foy using chemical spray contrary to policy and training.
