As construction continues through downtown Frisco’s Rail District, city leaders are rolling out a fresh way to help small businesses weather the disruption. Beginning Nov. 4 at 10 a.m., Frisco residents can take advantage of a new “buy one, get one” (BOGO) bonus digital gift card program designed to boost sales for local merchants and encourage more foot traffic downtown.
The program allows customers to buy digital gift cards valued between $25 and $250 and receive a matching bonus card of equal value, effectively doubling their spending power while funds last. The Frisco Community Development Corporation (FCDC) is underwriting the matching funds, which can be used at participating Rail District businesses.
“The Frisco Community Development Corporation is proud to invest local sales tax dollars back into the community through programs that directly benefit our small businesses,” said Chad Brubaker, FCDC chairman, in an official statement. “By moving the Rail District gift card program to a digital format, we’re expanding access for residents across the city and giving our merchants new tools to connect with customers through the BOGO initiative.”
How The Program Works
Buyers can visit the city’s website to purchase a digital Rail District gift card, and upon purchase, they’ll receive both the purchased card and a matching bonus card.
