Turns out, the McKinney estate we’ve been telling you about — the one with a 6,200-square-foot car showroom that stole the spotlight — didn’t even make it to auction day.
The luxury property at 2115 Paradise Ranch Trail went under contract on Nov. 4, just three days before its scheduled no-reserve auction with Elite Auctions. Realtor Holly Haven of Real Broker represented the listing.
Originally listed for $5.9 million and reduced to $4.494 million, the 12,501-square-foot Tuscan-style home sits on 10.6 acres in McKinney’s gated Paradise Ranch community. Its unique combination of luxury living, equestrian amenities, and a car collector’s dream garage drew strong interest from buyers and agents alike — including many who toured during Elite Auctions’ open house weekends.
Luxury Living and a Garage That Steals the Show
Built in 2008 on a former limestone quarry, the home’s main residence offers four ensuite bedrooms, six bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and a glass-enclosed resort-style pool with a retractable roof and walls. There’s also a theater with a concession stand, fitness room, outdoor kitchen, and a four-stall equestrian barn set below the main home on rolling, treed acreage — a rare elevation change for North Texas.
But it’s the auto showroom that’s truly unforgettable. Designed to display more than 20 vehicles, the space features 100-year-old reclaimed barn timbers, a vintage 1950s-style soda fountain bar, and the atmosphere of a private car museum. When CandysDirt.com hosted an event there last fall, guests gravitated straight to the garage — mingling among polished classics, live music, and a whole lot of chrome.
A Win for the Luxury Auction Market
Before going under contract on Nov. 4, Paradise Ranch Trail was on the market for 466 days, well above the average for North Texas luxury homes. MetroTex data shows that traditionally-marketed homes listed for $5 million and up spent an average of 86 days on market in 2024 (up from 58 days in 2023).
But that timeline doesn’t tell the whole story in the ultra-luxury segment: many trophy homes are sold off-market for privacy or tax reasons, meaning MLS “days on market” only capture the listings that hit the public feed. Luxury Realtors tell us well over half of North Texas’ luxury homes are sold without ever hitting MLS…
