McKinney High School Teacher Arrested After Drugs Found in Car During K-9 Sweep

A McKinney Boyd High School teacher is behind bars after police say drugs were found in his car during a routine K-9 sweep of the school parking lot.

According to McKinney Police, 27-year-old Christopher Hawkins, a first-year science teacher and athletic coach, was taken into custody on Monday after a drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to his vehicle. When officers searched the car, they reportedly found illegal narcotics inside.

Hawkins was arrested at the scene and booked into the Collin County Jail…
