Lewisville Commuters Alert: SH-121 Business Closure for TV Show Filming on Dec. 4

Drivers in Lewisville, take note: you’re about to hit a snag in your daily commute. Come Dec. 4, a chunk of SH-121 Business will be shut down from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to play host to a television production crew capturing high-octane scenes for their upcoming show. The closure spans from Forestbrook Drive all the way to Vista Ridge Mall Drive, which is also set to disrupt flow on Round Grove Road and Denton Tap Road, according to an official notification from the City of Lewisville.

For those looking to navigate around the cinematic chaos, you’ll need to plan carefully to detour following clearly marked routes. Service roads will not be an option during much of the day—shut down from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.—and prepare to intermittently hit the brakes or reroute from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. Amidst the direction disruptions, stunts, a simulated crash, and more are set to seamlessly unfold onscreen while potentially turning your drive into a standstill.

Access to detailed maps with the nitty-gritty on every turn and blockage during filming is available by clicking through the city’s announcement—maps ranging from HWY 121-2-1 to HWY 121 – EXTENDED CLOSURE-3 lay it all out for the wary commuter…
