Whether it’s starting off the morning right, a necessary midday pick-me-up, or simply a stolen moment of zen, a good sip of superior coffee can shape the entire day. Frisco java fans will soon have a new way to satisfy that craving. Black Rock Coffee Bar has set its sights on the neighborhood for its next DFW location, with work set to begin early next year.
The cafe will be brewing fresh pots at 7030 Stonebrook Parkway, Suite 200. Eagle-eyed Frisco coffee fans will need to wait until next year to begin marking Black Rock’s progress; paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to begin on the storefront on January 29 of 2026. Work should wrap on the 2,107 square foot shop by April 20, boding well for a late spring or early summer opening.
Black Rock has enjoyed a unique progression as a chain. The coffee concept started life as a small drive-thru stand in Oregon in 2008. The brand has achieved great success but has not lost sight of what endeared it so much to its earliest fans; the website explains: “As we’ve grown from a single stand into a family of locations across multiple states, our mission has remained unchanged: to be a positive force in people’s daily lives, one cup at a time.”…
