Dallas Man behind a string of ATM robberies sentenced to 17 years in prison

A Dallas man was sentenced to 17 years in prison on Thursday for his role in a string of ATM smash-and-grabs.

Joseph Turner pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act robbery, a federal offense that prohibits robbery or attempted robbery that disrupts interstate or foreign commerce.

According to investigators, Turner led and organized a group of people participating in the crime spree that occurred between May 16 and June 1, 2023.
