CARROLLTON, TX – On December 16, 2025, the Carrollton Police Department responded to a theft in the department’s parking lot involving an online marketplace transaction. The victim had arranged to meet a prospective buyer to sell several high-value watches, but the suspect never intended to complete the purchase. During the meeting, the suspect tried on the watches and then fled the scene without paying.
Carrollton Police Detectives were quickly assigned to the case and launched an immediate investigation. Using the Flock Safety platform, investigators identified the vehicle involved and the suspects responsible. The investigation included collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Cooke County Sheriff’s Office, and the Denton Police Department.
