Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is mourning the loss of DFW Airport Police Sergeant Charles “Alan” Works, who passed away after suffering a medical emergency while serving the airport community.
Sgt. Works was remembered as a dedicated public servant and respected leader who served with integrity, humility, and genuine care for those around him. Colleagues described him as a steady presence within the department, known for his welcoming smile and his signature cowboy hat. His professionalism and compassion left a lasting impression on fellow officers, airport staff, and the community he served.
Sgt. Works began his law enforcement career in 2007 with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer. He later served as a police officer with the Tarrant County College Police Department from 2013 to 2020.
