DFW Airport Police Officer Dies After Medical Emergency While on Duty

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is mourning the loss of DFW Airport Police Sergeant Charles “Alan” Works, who passed away after suffering a medical emergency while serving the airport community.

Sgt. Works was remembered as a dedicated public servant and respected leader who served with integrity, humility, and genuine care for those around him. Colleagues described him as a steady presence within the department, known for his welcoming smile and his signature cowboy hat. Sgt. Works began his law enforcement career in 2007 with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer.
