A Texas man dies while attempting to outrun law enforcement in Phelps County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the 21-year-old man from Allen, Texas was driving on I-44 about seven miles west of Rolla early Saturday morning when he traveled off the left side of the road, struck a cable barrier, then went airborne, and struck a bridge support pillar at a high rate of speed.
