FLOWER MOUND, Texas — Flower Mound police are mourning the loss of one of their officers after she passed away following a medical emergency, the department said on social media Saturday.
The department announced the passing of Support Services Lieutenant Suzanne Reed, who had served her community since 2006 in various roles. In her tenure, Lt. Reed held the roles of Patrol Officer, Marine Safety Enforcement Officer, Mental Health Peace Officer, Crisis Negotiator Team Leader, Police Training Officer, SFST (Standard Field Sobriety Testing) and PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics) Instructor, Crime Analyst, Detective, Patrol Sergeant and Patrol Lieutenant, before accepting her most recent assignment as the Support Services Lieutenant.
