Teen and Juvenile Arrested After Armed Carjacking Outside Irving Restaurant

Irving police arrested two suspects, including a 17-year-old, after an armed carjacking outside a restaurant on New Year’s Day that ended with their capture in a neighboring city.

Officers were dispatched around 2:56 p.m. to the 3500 block of North Belt Line Road near West Northgate Drive, outside the Pho Empire restaurant, after a report of an auto theft in progress involving a firearm. When the officer arrived, the victim reported that two individuals pointed a handgun at him and stole his vehicle before fleeing the area.

Through their investigation, Irving police identified the suspects as 17-year-old Tevaris Wynn and a juvenile accomplice. Descriptions of the suspects and the stolen vehicle were immediately entered into the system…
