Dallas woman arrested on multiple felony narcotic charges

DALLAS, Texas — A 40-year-old woman was arrested by Dallas police and the U.S. Marshal’s North Texas Fugitive Task Force on January 6, 2026, for multiple felony narcotic charges. Velisa Purvis, of Dallas, Texas, was apprehended in the 1500 block of Garrett Avenue without incident.

Officers recovered 39 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, two bags of suspected methamphetamine, drug packaging, money, marijuana, and other paraphernalia during the search, according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department. Purvis, who had four outstanding felony warrants, is now facing additional charges of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance between four grams and 200 grams, and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance between one and four grams.
