CELINA, Texas — Days after the retirement of Celina ISD’s athletic director, whose son had been arrested and charged with child sex crimes, the district has released a redacted report of an investigation surrounding the arrest.
The independent investigation, the findings of which were released earlier this week, was conducted to identify any systemic issues at Moore Middle School and its athletics department.
In the summary of issues in the investigation, investigator Giana Ortiz wrote that the investigation doesn’t address Elliott’s criminal allegations or conduct, but rather focused on allegations that could constitute policy violations or regulation violations by district employees aside from him. Aspects of this could include knowing of Elliott’s improper relationship with a Celina High School student, or knowing of him placing cameras in the school’s locker room…
